BetterSend vs Microsoft Copilot

Microsoft Copilot vs BetterSend for Teams messages

If your company already pays for Microsoft 365 Copilot, use it: Copilot in Teams can rewrite a chat message and make it casual, professional, confident or enthusiastic, and it is part of a much larger assistant across Outlook, Word and meetings. If you do not have that license, or you write in another language and want the message to come out as English in a specific tone, BetterSend does that inside Teams for US$ 4.99 per month, with a free plan.

By Rubens Jr, Founder of BetterSend

Microsoft Copilot in Teams sits under the compose box. Rewrite produces another version of your message with better grammar and style, and Adjust makes it concise or longer and casual, professional, confident or enthusiastic. Copilot in Teams is part of Microsoft 365 Copilot Business, an add-on to an eligible Microsoft 365 business plan; the free Copilot Chat covers Outlook but Microsoft's pricing page does not list Teams for it. Teams translates received messages on its own, separately from Copilot.

BetterSend is a single-purpose tool you can install yourself. Its Chrome extension works in Teams on the web and eleven other platforms, and its desktop app works inside the native Teams app on macOS and Windows. Improve takes a draft in any language and returns English in one of 13 tones; Translate and Explain act on messages you receive.

BetterSend fits when you are paying for yourself, when you need more than four tones, when you write from another language, or when your work also happens in Slack, WhatsApp or GitHub.
