Cancelling QuillBot
How to cancel QuillBot Premium, and what to use instead
On quillbot.com, click your profile icon, open Account Details, then the Your Plan tab, and click Cancel subscription; when it worked, the plan shows an end date and a Resubscribe option. Premium stays active until the end of the period you paid for. Two things catch people: a paused subscription has no cancel button until you resume it, and a Premium bought in the iPhone or Android app can only be cancelled in that store. If you used QuillBot to rewrite work messages, the free alternative below does that without storing your text.

How to cancel QuillBot on its website

Click your profile icon (your initial) in the top right corner of quillbot.com and select Account Details.

Open the Your Plan tab.

Click Cancel subscription and follow the prompts to disable auto-renewal.

Check the result: under Manage Subscription you should see Resubscribe and the status Ends on with a date.
Before you cancel QuillBot
- Disabling renewal stops future payments; Premium access continues until the end of the current billing period.
- If you paused the subscription, the Cancel subscription button does not appear until you resume it. QuillBot offers a pause of 30, 60 or 90 days instead of cancelling.
- Bought in the iPhone app: Settings, your name, Subscriptions, QuillBot, Cancel Subscription. On Android: Google Play Store, Subscriptions, QuillBot, Cancel Subscription. The QuillBot website cannot cancel those, and refunds for them go to Apple or Google.
- Refunds are issued only if required by law. In the European Economic Area and the UK you can withdraw within 14 days of purchase.
- Premium costs US$ 19.95 a month or US$ 99.95 a year, as of October 2026.

Common questions
Why is there no Cancel subscription button on my QuillBot account?
Most often because the subscription is paused, or because Premium was bought in the iPhone or Android app. Resume the subscription first, or cancel in the App Store or Google Play.
Does QuillBot refund an unused year?
Its help center says refunds are issued only if required by law, with a 14-day right of withdrawal for consumers in the EEA and the UK.
Does QuillBot keep what I typed after I cancel?
Since November 8, 2025 its browser extension stores text inputs by default; the setting is in the extension, not in the plan. BetterSend never stores message text, on any plan.
